The Phoenix Division is currently looking for a CDL Driver to join our team.  This position will be responsible for operating vehicles safely to move materials and heavy equipment to and from the yard/vendor/job sites.

The position includes significant duties such as: 

  • Operate ten-wheelers and pull trailers to haul heavy equipment
  • Pick-up and deliver materials to and from the yard/vendor/job sites such as cement, asphalt, and spoils
  • Inspect and secure loads, position and properly distribute loads based on weight, ensure chains and binders are properly placed as applicable to meet FMCSA requirements
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and complete all proper documentation in a timely manner to comply with DOT and company guidelines/policies
  • Follow all applicable state and federal motor vehicle regulations relating to CDL driver responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner to prevent injuries and property damage
  • Maintain safety and quality standards on equipment and work areas
  • May perform other work assignments not listed above 

Skills:

  • Must have knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations/guidelines
  • Must have the ability to follow oral instructions promptly and accurately
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to speak, read, comprehend, and write fluent English
  • Prior work experience in the utility field desired

Education / Experience: 

  • High School or General Education Diploma 
  • 1-3 years prior experience operating ten-wheelers and hauling heavy equipment

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver License Class A
  • Must have a good driving record within the previous 39 months
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen per federal DOT regulations  

Hours of Work / Work Conditions: 

  • 40 hours/week with no guarantee of overtime
  • Monday – Friday, typically 7:00AM – 3:30PM, on occasion may work nights/weekends/holidays
  • Outside work environment – exposure to varying weather conditions, loud equipment noise, fumes, dust, walking on changing ground surfaces
  • Strenuous physical labor involved – lifting (up to 50 lbs. occasionally), prolonged standing/walking, frequent reaching, stooping, bending kneeling, crouching, and/or climbing

We are currently looking for a Concrete Finisher to join our team.  This position will be responsible for finishing concrete for roads/curbs/sidewalks at construction job sites throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

  • Prepare and clean surface areas to form, set, pour and finish concrete for roads/curbs/sidewalks
  • Operate hand-held and/or power tools and equipment
  • Work collectively with a crew to complete projects in a timely manner

The Phoenix Division is looking for a Mechanic to join our team.  This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, performing repairs and providing routine maintenance to the company’s fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment for safe operations.   

The position includes significant duties such as: 

  • Troubleshoot and inspect mechanical components and/or electrical mechanisms to identify the causes of errors/defects on heavy equipment, vehicles, machines and/or systems; may use diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
  • Analyze root cause of mechanical/electrical problems to determine the optimal selection of tools, equipment, and process to perform simple to complex repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance work on heavy equipment and vehicles such as: steam cleaning, lubrication, replacement of damaged/worn parts, and servicing of engines and transmissions
  • Read and interpret operating manuals and technical drawings/diagrams to troubleshoot and repair electrical/hydraulic equipment
  • Dismantle and assemble equipment using hand and power tools, hoists, jacks and jackstands
  • Operate, test and/or inspect equipment to ensure programs meet specifications and are properly functioning
  • Perform data entry in computer databases for documentation and record keeping purposes
  • Operate equipment and vehicles in a safe and courteous manner to prevent injuries and property damage by following all applicable federal/state motor vehicle regulations and company policies relating to driver responsibilities
  • Maintain safety and quality standards on equipment and work areas
  • Interact with different levels of the organization and external vendors
  • May perform other work assignments not listed above 

Required Skills:

  • Must be detail oriented and apply critical and analytical thinking skills to solve problems
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently to complete tasks within a reasonable timeline with minimal or no supervision
  • Must be responsible, punctual and reliable
  • Must be proficient with intermediate math (e.g., arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics)
  • Must be effective with verbal and written communications and be able to read and comprehend fluent English

Education / Experience: 

  • High School or General Education Diploma 
  • 3 – 5 years experience performing repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components
  • Working knowledge of 185 CFM compressors and ability to stick weld is not required but highly desirable
